Tray Terminology
Gate LED: indicates the
status of a rack.
Gate: This is a location for a rack. It is numbered
(1 thru 10) from the left of the tray. It can also be

specimen tray that may not be obvious to the new user. Figure 3-8 illustrates this
terminology and should be referred to while configuring the PathFinder 350S.
Rack: may be a single piece rack (as shown) or a rack adaptor that
holds multiple analyser racks.

Rack Fence: this is the physical divider between gates.
They also hold the rack firmly in position. They are
located on a slot cut into the tray.
Label Strip: Clear window that can be used to
label location ID's.
Error/Stat Rack: custom rack
used by the PathFinder 350s.
