Troubleshooting

This section is divided into five broad categories that group errors by their severity.
These categories are:

For errors not addressed by this document, a restart of the system should be
attempted to clear the error. If the error persists then contact Abbott Customer
Service.
8.1

How to Identify Errors

The PathFinder 350S has a number of ways to communicate an error to the operator.
These include:

Hints and Tips: to improve operation.
Processing Errors: can occur during normal operation, does not interrupt
processing.
Handling Errors: can occur during operation, recoverable without a restart.
System Errors: errors requiring a restart.
Other Errors: errors that prevent the PathFinder 350S being used normally.
Rack errors when placing a rack.
Why did a tube go to error?
Error Message: Lost Tube.
Error Message: Already Have a Tube.
Error Message: Expected Tube in Holder.
Error Message: Z Axis Collision.
Error Message: Carousel Advance Failed.
User Interface does not start properly – Error Displayed.
User Interface does not display anything at all.
The Sorter is dropping tubes.
Views and Reports take a long time to display.
Master Alarm Indicator: always present to alert the operator to errors. The
master alarm state is also reflected in the tray status image. The cause for
any master alarm will be displayed as a handling error message on the home
page.
Home Page: the home page displays rack processing errors in the rack details
panel and the tray status image.
Table and Logs: error codes display in tables and logs, e.g. tube processing
errors in the tube log.
