Master Alarm Indicator: will activate whenever there is an error on the
PathFinder 350S. It is displayed on all pages to prompt the user to return to the
home page when there is an error. The color of the master alarm indicator is
reflected in the color of the tray status to make alarms easier to see from a
distance.
Processing Errors: are displayed in tables and will not stop normal processing.
Processing errors indicate a problem with the racks or tubes being presented to the
PathFinder 350S. The presence of a processing error is indicated by the rack color
on the tray status graphic, and error codes in the rack details table, and on the
Trays page. For more detail on the processing error codes see Section 8.2 on the
next page.
Handling Errors: will stop processing because they require the operator's attention.
A description of the error will be displayed above the rack details on the home
page, shown in Figure 8-1. These errors are easily recoverable, see Section 8.3 for
details.

Processing Errors

This section describes errors that may occur in day to day operation. These relate
primarily to the processing of racks and tubes and will not affect the
PathFinder 350S operation.
8.2.1

Rack Errors

When placing a rack, the PathFinder 350S checks the rack barcode against the gate
it is placed in to check it is of a suitable type for that gate.
