Handover Point Calibration

The handover point is the point where tubes are picked and placed to the carousel.
Because the carousel is fitted during installation, its location must be calibrated before
using the Sorter.
To calibrate the handover position, press the Calibrate button on the home page of
the user interface. The calibrate handover panel will appear as shown in Figure
4-12.
If the calibrate button is grayed out, it is because the carousel has not been
initialized by the workcell controller. Press the green Start button; wait for a
second while the carousel advances, and press the red Pause button. This will
localize the carousel, allowing the handover position to be calibrated:

Place a tube into well number 10 in a PathFinder 50 way rack and place it
into the first gate of the specimen tray.
Press the Pickup Tube icon on the handover calibration panel. The Sorter
will pickup the first tube in the rack.
Press the Move to Handover icon. The Sorter will move the tube to the
carousel.
At this point the bottom of the tube should be just above the carousel fingers.
Adjust the handover position by pressing the move arrows. The outer arrows
move the tube coarsely, while the inner arrows move in finer increments.
