If all tubes were picked and placed successfully then the self-test is complete. To
prepare the PathFinder 350S for its first use, change the profile to the operating
profile to suit your tray configuration (see Section 7.8), if already configured.
Most systems will be preconfigured with at least one operational profile. If it is not
configured, then refer to Section 5.
If the self-test is not successful refer to the troubleshooting information in
Section 8.

View the Config page by pressing the Config Navigation button and select the
self-test operating mode. Return to the home page.
Place the 5 test sample tubes into the top 5 positions of a PathFinder 50 way
rack as shown in Figure 4-15.
Scan the rack and place it in the first input gate. This will be the first gate
from the left that accepts a PathFinder 50-way rack.
Scan an empty PathFinder 50-way rack and place it in the first output gate.
This will be the second gate from the left that accepts a PathFinder 50-way
rack. A 5 x 50 way specimen tray should now be populated as illustrated in
Figure 4-15.

The gates used are considered input and output for the purposes of
self-test only. They are used regardless of the actual configuration of
the tray.
Press Start on the home page. The Sorter should rotate the carousel and
begin picking tubes from the first rack.
The tubes will be placed into the carousel and their barcodes scanned.
When the last tube has been picked from the input rack, the rack can be
removed to save the Sorter trying to pick tubes from the remaining wells.
When all tubes have been placed in the output rack, press Pause on the home
page.
