Diagnostic Alarms
Diagnostic alarms originate from the IO-Link master. They indicate events on the IO-Link
master or its ports. The following values are set in the "Event Qualifier":
TYPE = 2 (Warning) or 3 (Error)
MODE = 2 (Event disappears) or 3 (Event appears)
SOURCE = 1 (Master/local)
The IO-Link master sends this event to the IO controller as a diagnostic alarm. The value
of "Channel Error (PROFINET)" is 0x9502.
The following table lists the numbers of the IO-Link master diagnostic alarms.

Alarm Description
Overvoltage, 1L Overvoltage in supply cable 1L
The supply cable has exceeded the limiting
value for the maximum voltage
Overtemperature Overtemperature
The device temperature has exceeded the
upper limiting value
Overload, 1L Overload in supply cable 1L
The total current in supply cable 1L has ex-
ceeded the upper limiting value
Overload, 2L Overload in supply cable 2L
The total current in supply cable 1L has ex-
ceeded the upper limiting value
Undertemperature Undertemperature
The device temperature has fallen below
the lower limiting value
Undervoltage, 2L Undervoltage in supply cable 2L
The power supply for supply cable 2L has
fallen below the limiting value for the mini-
mum voltage
Overvoltage, 2L Overvoltage in supply cable 2L
The power supply for supply cable 2L has
exceeded the limiting value for the maxi-
mum voltage
Forcing operating mode Forcing operating mode active (activated
active by Web client or OPC UA client)
