MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
For the starting procedure of the engine, see "METHOD FOR STARTING ENGINE (3-158)".
NOTICE
If the engine is run at high speed immediately after startup or a cylinder is pushed up to its stroke end,
air taken inside the cylinder may cause damage to the piston packing.
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Run the engine at low idle.
3.
Move each cylinder of the work equipment to approximately 100 mm before the stroke end, and repeat ex-
tension and retraction for 5 minutes.
Take care not to move the cylinder to the stroke end.
4.
Next, operate each cylinder 3 to 4 more times to each stroke end.
5.
Finally, operate each cylinder 4 to 5 times to the end of its stroke to completely remove the air.

METHOD FOR BLEEDING AIR FROM FUELC CIRCUIT

This machine is equipped with the fuel feed pump to bleed air from the fuel circuit.
In the following cases, bleed air according to the following procedure.
When the fuel filter is replaced.
When fuel is used up.
When starting the engine for the first time after the fuel piping or supply pump is replaced or repaired.
METHOD FOR BLEEDING AIR
When using the fuel feed pump, do not loosen the air bleeding plug of the fuel circuit. The fuel circuit is
pressurized while the fuel feed pump is operated. If the air bleeding plug is loosened at this time, fuel
may spout out and it is dangerous.
1.
Turn the starting switch to OFF position (A).
2.
Check that supply valve (1) of the fuel tank is opened.
(S): CLOSE
(O): OPEN
