TROUBLES AND ACTIONS
Problem
When machine is steered, it does not
turn.
Transmission oil pressure does not
rise.
Drawbar pull is low (travel speed is
low).
Travel speed increase is slow.
When joystick (steering, directional
and gear shift lever) is operated, ma-
chine does not start.
Machine does not travel straight.
Torque converter overheats (power
train oil temperature caution lamp
lights up).
PHENOMENA AND ACTIONS FOR ENGINE RELATED PARTS
As for the corrective actions indicated with (*) in the remedy column, always contact your Komatsu distribu-
tor.
In cases of problems or causes which are not listed below, ask your Komatsu distributor for repairs.
Problem
After warming up, when engine
speed is increased, engine oil pres-
sure caution lamp still lights up.

Main causes
Parking brake lever is in LOCK.
Defective lever wiring
Defective HSS pump
Defective HSS motor
Gear pump is worn or scuffed.
Power train case oil level is low.
Clogged oil filter element strainer of
power train case
Insufficient engine horsepower
Low power train oil temperature
Insufficient engine horsepower
Power train case oil level is low.
Transmission oil pressure does not
rise.
Parking brake lever is in LOCK.
Defective adjustment of power train
controller
Defective steering valve
Power train case oil level is low.
Transmission oil pressure does not
rise.
Work load is too high.
Main causes
Lowered oil level in engine oil pan
(sucking in air)
Improper oil is used. (Viscosity is im-
proper.)
Clogged oil filter cartridge
Oil leakage due to defective tighten-
ing or breakage of oil pipe or pipe
joint.
Defective monitor
Remedy
Set to FREE.
Check, repair. (*)

Set oil to specified level. See

Clean. See EVERY 1000 HOURS

CANT", replace oil with proper one.
