(Except machines with power tilt power pitch specification)
Dozing angle (A) can be changed in the range of ±5 ° by changing the tilt cylinder and length (L) of the brace.
The larger the change in the dozing angle becomes, however, the more the right or left tilting amount by tilt cyl-
inder differs.
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING BRACE
When performing the maintenance with the engine running, one worker sits in the operator's seat and
another worker performs the maintenance and they must check the safety with each other.
1.
Start the engine and tilt to the right and left in the inching
mode.
2.
Turn and adjust brace handle (1).
(A): 300 to 400 mm
Shake the blade up and down to facilitate the adjustment.
When retracting the brace, you can easily adjust it by put-
ting it onto a block and turning the brace handle.
Since the blade is tilted in this operation, the handle be-
comes heavy gradually. In this case, return the blade from
the tilted state to the horizontal state, and then turn the
handle again by the above method.
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING SHIM
Adjust the play of the ball joint (6 places) in the axial direction
(the direction of the arrow) to 1 mm or less.

Remove shim (1) and tighten bolt (2).
Tighten it until the play in the ball joint is eliminated.
2.
Measure clearance (A) and remove bolt (2).
3.
Adjust thickness of shim (1) to (A) +0.5 to 1 mm.
4.
Tighten bolt (2).
5.
Check that the ball moves smoothly while the bolt is tight-
ened.
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING RIPPER
It is dangerous if the work equipment moves by mistake when the ripper is adjusted. Set the work
equipment in a stable condition, stop the engine and set the work equipment lock lever securely to
LOCK position.
