MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
10. Loosen mounting bolts (9) (7 pieces) of the scavenging
pump strainer, and remove cover (10).
11. Remove strainer (11).
12. Remove all dirt from strainer (11), then wash it in clean die-
sel fuel or flushing oil.
At this time, clean the case interior and the removed parts
as well.
13. Install the strainer as before.
If the spring or strainer is damaged, replace them.
14. Replace the power train oil filter element.
For detail, see "METHOD FOR REPLACING ELEMENT ON POWER TRAIN OIL FILTER (4-50)".
15. Open the inspection window on the right side of the machine.
16. Add the refill capacity of oil through oil filler port (F).
17. After adding the oil, check that the oil level is proper.

OIL LEVEL IN POWER TRAIN CASE AND ADDING OIL
(3-136)".
18. Close the inspection window on the right side of the ma-
chine.

METHOD FOR CHANGING OIL IN FINAL DRIVE CASE

• Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn in-
jury. Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
• The oil may spout out because of the internal pressure. Perform the removal of the plug from the
side. Turn the plug gradually to release the internal pressure, and remove it carefully.
Refill capacity:
D85EX: 26 ℓ each of right and left
D85PX: 36 ℓ each of right and left
Prepare a container to catch drained oil.
