Use the prescribed power supply
Use the prescribed power supply in this operation manual. If any power
supply other than that prescribed in this manual is used, the safety
performance of the product cannot be guaranteed, and fire may result.
Use the supplied power cord and cable.
Be sure to use the supplied power cord and cable.
Use of any power cord or cable other than that supplied may cause a failure
such as the generation of noise or a malfunction due to external noise. The
supplied power cord and cable cannot be used with other equipment. For
products for which the power cord is not supplied, review Precautions for
proper use of the power cord before selecting an appropriate power cord.
Do not operate the unit with wet hands!
Operating the unit or removing/inserting the power plug with wet hands may
cause electrical shock.
Ground the unit securely!
Connect the earth terminal of a three-terminal outlet to the ground for safety.
Imperfect grounding may cause electric shocks.
About the warning labels
On the lamp house, which gets very hot, warning labels are affixed (See
page 2). Follow the instructions on the labels. If a warning label gets dirty or
starts to peel, contact the supplier where you purchased the unit or our sales
department for replacements.
Replacement of fuses
Before replacing a fuse, turn off the power and unplug the power cord, to
prevent an electrical shock.
Do not use the unit for any purpose other than the intended!
This device is intended to measure spectroscopic characteristics, such as
reflectance and transmittance. Do not use any other purpose than the
intended.
