Adjust the shift of the BK7 reference sample the sample to be measured .
[For a flat sample]
Looking at a circle of light injected from the objective lens that is visible on the top
surface of the BK7 reference sample the sample to be measured , use the shift
adjuster of the shift stage to set the shift of the sample. The shift adjuster contains a
coarse tuning knob and a fine tuning knob.
[For a sample with a gear radius]
Hint: Because the focus of any sample with gear radius changes with the shift
adjustment, adjust the focus again according to the focus adjustment described on the
previous page.
First, click the bar indicated in the following figure to adjust the gain so that a circle is
displayed.
Looking at CT window, use the shift adjuster to move the sample toward the vertical
direction against the optical axis. Align the center of the circular light with the
intersection of the two lines in the CT window.
Adjust the position until the figures at the upper left (X:*** Y:***) turn white.
