4. Remove the one-way clutch and inspect both sides of

drive rollers . Inspect the roller contact surface
inside the hub for wear, damage or uneven surface.
5. Remove the starter gear from the engine and inspect
the drive surface of the starter gear

bushing for wear, damage or uneven surfaces.
NOTICE
If any starter one-way clutch component is worn or
damaged, replace the clutch and starter gear as an
assembly.
