There are three different types of single-mode fiber used with the Alcatel-Lucent 1665
Data Multiplexer Extend (Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMXtend), simplex blue fiber, simplex
yellow fiber, and the customer's fiber, and two types of multi-mode fiber used with the
Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMXtend, multi-mode simplex gray fiber and the customer's multi-
mode fiber.
Blue fiber
Blue fiber is made up of a single blue colored fiber equipped with LC connectors at both
ends. It is referred to as Simplex LC Blue Fiber. The Blue Fibers are custom cut to length
for their application. The length is given on the protection boot of the LC connector.
