From the instrument console's interface, you can quickly navigate to visual representations of
each module and its components. You can also navigate to interactive diagrams, which show
interconnections and provide diagnostic tools for troubleshooting problems.
To start the instrument console from MassLynx software:
1.
In the MassLynx window, click Inlet Method.
2.
In the Inlet Method window, click the ACQUITY Additional Status tab.
3.
Click Display console
Tip:
If a mass spectrometer is connected, an alternative way to launch the console is to
click MS Console in the MassLynx shortcuts on the left side of the page. This method
launches the whole system console, versus just the mass spectrometer.

3.3 Instrument control panels

You can monitor control panels for the ASM, µBSM, µSM-FL, TVM, and optional optical detector
using the chromatography data system. Additionally, when MassLynx software controls the
system, the control panels appear on the Additional Status tab of the Inlet Editor window.

3.3.1 Solvent manager control panels

The µBSM control panel and the ASM control panel display flow status, system pressure, total
flow rate, and solvent composition parameters. You can edit the value of these parameters when
the system is idle by clicking the underlined value. You cannot edit solvent manager parameters
while the system is running samples.
