D.2.4.6 Replacing bottle sinkers at least monthly
Bacteria from different solvents can seed bacterial growth in the crevices of the sintered metal of
bottle sinkers. To deter growth of bacteria on the sintered metal, replace bottle sinkers at least
monthly. If problems arise with neutral or basic mobile phase operation, replace the sinkers more
frequently.
