7. Apply threadlocker to bolt threads and install bolts

8. Grasp pinion collar (1) and rotate several times to make

sure brushes are seated.
If pinion collar (1) rotates freely without turning motor

shaft, seat pinion collar.
Install Starter Motor
Disconnect negative battery cable from battery
before installing starter motor.
For models 40 / 50 / 80 / 90 / 115 / 120 / 140 move
oil tank out of the way for access.
For models 115 / 120 / 140 make sure you install the

mount rubber B (1).
Make sure you install the starter motor rubber (1).

If pinion collar (1) rotates freely without turning motor
