2. Insert specified shimming gauge (3) into gearcase.

Shimming Gauge
Correct positioning of the shimming gauge in the
gearcase is critical. Make sure tapered side (4) is fully
seated in bevel gear A bearing outer race with flat
side (5) and notch (6) facing upward.
