5. For models 40 / 50 / 60C / 70C / 80 / 90 / 115 / 120 / 140:

Set the analog multimeter to "400" on the "DVA" scale.
Connect the RED tester lead to terminal (6) and BLACK tester lead
to terminal (4).

For models 60B and 70B: Set the analog multimeter to "20" (Test 1)
and "200" (Test 2) on the "DVA" scale. Connect the RED and
BLACK tester leads as follows to check the output voltage (DVA) of
the exciter coil at cranking speed:
