Measuring Polarization Dependent Loss
Measuring PDL and Insertion Loss Simultaneously
ATTEN TI O N Before you measure Insertion Loss, you must at
least measure and store the reference power P ref. If you have not yet
stored the reference power, refer to page 31 in section 1.6 "Getting
Started".
1 Press A
to activate the "Select Applications" menu.
PPL
2 Choose "PDL / Ins. Loss".
The instrument immediately starts to measure. Wait until the values
are displayed.
