This query returns the current setting of the measurement and
display mode for the polarization dependent applications. It can be
used any time.
1|2 The channel parameter 1 or 2 may be present, but is ignored.

0 Refresh
1 Average

3 A low PDL head with temperature control is attached to the
specified channel
