Parameters
slot slot-number: Specifies a card by its slot number.
Usage guidelines
The service command affects only L2TP data messages. The control messages are always processed on
the active MPU.
If a card is specified to process traffic for a virtual PPP interface, all traffic forwarded through this virtual
PPP interface is encapsulated and decapsulated on the card or IRF member device. Otherwise, the
system automatically chooses a card or IRF member device to process the traffic.
If the specified card is removed, the traffic cannot be forwarded even if the virtual PPP interface is up.
When the card is re-inserted, the traffic can be encapsulated and decapsulated on the card, and then
the traffic is forwarded through the virtual PPP interface.
Examples
# Specify card 2 to process traffic for interface Virtual-PPP 10.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface virtual-ppp 10
[Sysname-Virtual-PPP10] service slot 2
