If PIN authentication is enabled, you need to execute the pin verify command to save the PIN on the
device to complete automatic PIN authentication.
PIN authentication on some PIN authentication enabled 3G modems can be disabled only when the 3G
modems pass PIN authentication.
Consecutive failures for enabling or disabling PIN authentication might lock a SIM/UIM card. To unlock
the card, execute the pin unlock command.

# Enable PIN authentication.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] controller cellular 0/0
[Sysname-Cellular0/0] pin verification enable 1234

Use undo pin verify to restore the default.

pin verify { simple pin | cipher ciphered-pin }
undo pin verify

No PIN is configured.

simple: Sets a plaintext PIN.
cipher: Sets a ciphertext PIN.
pin: Specifies the plaintext PIN of 4 to 8 digits.
ciphered-pin Specifies the ciphertext PIN of 37 to 41 digits.
Usage guidelines
When PIN authentication is enabled, enter the PIN for authentication by using this command.
