Usage guidelines
On a BRI that runs the NI protocol, calls can be placed only after the SPID negotiation or initialization is
finished. SPID information can be obtained through static configuration or dynamic negotiation. The PBX
determines which method to use.
The device uses dynamic negotiation to obtain a SPID by default.
The SPID and LDN of the PBX are provided by a common carrier. You must configure the same SPID value
and LDN for both the B1 and B2 channels as that of the PBX.
After you configure LDN, the calling number configured in the isdn calling command becomes invalid.
Execute this command only on a BRI that runs the NI protocol.
Execute this command only if no call exists on the BRI.
You cannot execute this command during the SPID negotiation on the BRI.
