isdn protocol-type
Use isdn protocol-type to set the ISDN protocol to be run on an ISDN interface.
Use undo isdn protocol-type to restore the default.
Syntax

Default
Both BRI and PRI interfaces run ISDN protocol DSS1.

Parameters
protocol: Specifies the ISDN protocol, which can be 5ess, ansi, at&t, dss1, etsi, ni, ni2, ntt, or qsig.
Usage guidelines
Configure this command only if no call exists on an ISDN interface.
You can configure:
ANSI on BRI and CT1/PRI interfaces.

AT&T on CT1/PRIs.
•
•
5ESS on CT1/PRIs.
DSS1 on BRI, CE1/PRI, and CT1/PRI interfaces.
•
ETSI on BRI, CE1/PRI, and CT1/PRI interfaces.
•
NI on BRIs.
•
NI2 on CT1/PRIs.
•
•
QSIG on CE1/PRI and CT1/PRI interfaces.
NTT on BRI and CT1/PRI interfaces.
•
ANSI, AT&T, ETSI, NI, and NTT only on an ISDN interface that operates in user side mode.
