new-pin: Specifies the new PIN, a string of 4 to 8 digits.
Usage guidelines
A SIM/UIM card will be locked temporarily in the following circumstances:
Consecutive PIN modification failures.
Consecutive failures for enabling or disabling PIN authentication.
Consecutive PIN authentication failures.
To use a 3G modem whose SIM/UIM is locked, first unlock the card by using the PUK.
If you consecutively fail to unlock a card, the card will be locked permanently. To unlock a permanently
locked card, contact the service provider of the card.

# Use the PUK to unlock a SIM/UIM card.

pin: Specifies the PIN of the SIM/UIM card, a string of 4 to 8 digits.
Usage guidelines
If PIN authentication is enabled, enter the PIN for authentication in the following circumstances:
Installing a 3G modem.
Rebooting the device where a USB 3G modem is attached.
