Predefined user roles

Parameters
seconds: Interval (in seconds) for sending keepalive packets, in the range of 0 to 32767. The value 0
disables keepalive packet sending.
Usage guidelines
Because a slow link takes a long period of time to transmit large packets, the sending and receiving of
keepalives might be delayed so long that one end cannot receive keepalive packets from the peer for 10
keepalive periods and shuts down the link. To prevent this, set the interval for sending keepalive packets
to a relatively longer length of time for a slow link.
Examples
# Set the interval for sending keepalive packets to 20 seconds on interface Serial 2/0.

[Sysname] interface serial 2/0
[Sysname-Serial2/0] timer-hold 20
