Note: Each port on the CNI card provides functions similar to one QPC215 SBE Card in Option 71. You do
not have to configure both ports on the CNI card.
The NT8D3503 Network Module Card Cage uses BTUs, however, the
NT8D3507 Network Module Card Cage does not use BTUs, it uses hybrid
terminators that are an integral part of the backplane. To replace a defective
backplane in an NT8D35 Network Module, you must replace the card cage.
Use this procedure to replace the Network Module card cage.
Module covers are not hinged; do not let go of the cover. Lift the cover
away from the module and set it out of your work area.
Removing equipment

Disable the QPC441 3-Port Extender (3PE) Card by disabling the
associated QPC215 Segmented Bus Extender (SBE) Card (the CPU
associated with the SBE must be inactive):
LD 35 (or LD 135 for Option 81 and 81C systems)
