Verify that your rack meets
the minimum requirements for
the installation of the router.
Plan rack or cabinet location,
including required space
clearances.
NOTE:
If you are installing the
MX2010 router into a network
cabinet, make sure that no
hardware, device, rack, or
cabinet component obstructs
the 34-U rack space from
access during installation.
If a rack is used, secure rack to
floor and building structure.
Cables and Transceivers
Acquire cables and
transceivers:
Determine the number of
cables needed based on
your planned configuration.
Review the maximum
distance allowed for each
cable. Choose the length of
cable based on the distance
between the hardware
components being
connected.
Plan the cable routing and
management.
