Setting up the Media

This machine can be used with a leaf media.

Setting up the Media

• If a suction hole within the suction area is not covered by the media, lay out a thin sheet material such as
paper, film or tape to cover the hole.
• Media peripheral parts may bend back due to heat. Use an accessory such as an adhesive tape to help
secure it in place.
• The table edges (both top and bottom) are provided with guide holes for inserting the layout pins provided
with the printer. Use these guide holes to keep the media straight.

Switch the suction valve of the front surface of the table according to the size of the inserted
media.
• The valve is open when the handle is horizontal and close when it is vertical.

Press the [VACUUM] key to turn on the VACUUM lamp and adsorb the media.

l After setting up the media, perform the following settings:
"Registering the Media Thickness" (P. 3-4)
"HEAD GAP Value" (P. 3-6)
• Do not drop heavy media on the table as the table may get deformed due to its weight.
Also, do not concentrate the weight at one spot (up to 50 kg/m
