Problem

Nozzle is clogged

Nozzle discharge may become unstable depending on the surrounding temperature or if the machine is not
used for a long time.
Try the following method to restore the nozzle discharge to normal.

Perform maintenance daily.
• Perform maintenance for every spot mentioned in "Maintenance Required".

Execute head cleaning (NORMAL).
• Perform head cleaning after completing Step 1.
"Head Cleaning" (P. 2-15)
• After that, check the nozzle status by running a test print.
"Test printing" (P. 2-11)
• Try the next step if the nozzle clogging problem is not solved.

Execute head cleaning (HARD).
• If the nozzle clogging is not resolved even after repeating Normal cleaning, then set the cleaning
mode to HARD and perform head cleaning again.

• After that, check the nozzle status by running a test print.
"Test printing" (P. 2-11)

If nozzle is still clogged even after head cleaning, perform the steps in mentioned for the
situation where nozzle clogging cannot be restored.

• If the missing nozzle is not resolved even after performing the procedure mentioned above, contact your
local distributor, or our sales office or call center.

Ink bottle error

If an ink bottle error is detected, the "red" ink bottle lamp is lit and a warning message is displayed.
None of the operations such as printing and cleaning that discard ink are available.
Perform the following procedure when such an error occurs.
• Check that the ink IC chip in the ink cover is set correctly.
• Replace the ink bottle with a new one immediately.
• Once the ink bottle error is displayed, do not leave the ink bottle without replacing it for a long time. The
machine will lose the nozzle clogging prevention function.
If the nozzles are clogged, contact your local distributor, or our sales office or call center.
Perform the following operation to check the details of the ink bottle error.

Set a shorter interval for the interval wiping operation.
