Precautions on Handling Ink Bottles

• If the ink gets in your eyes, immediately hold your eyes under clean, running water for at least 15 minutes
to rinse away ink completely from your eyes and eyelids. Seek medical advice as soon as possible.
• Store the ink bottles in a place not more than 1 m off the ground. This is because if an ink bottle stored in a
place higher than 1 m falls, its bottle cap may come off, spilling the ink.
• Keep the ink bottle out of reach of children.
• Use genuine ink bottles for this machine. This machine functions upon recognizing the genuine ink bottles.
We provide no guarantee against machinery failure caused by altered ink bottles or similar reasons, even
during the guarantee period.
• If an ink bottle is moved from a cold to warm place, keep it at room temperature for at least 3 hours before
use.
• Store the ink bottles in a cool place.
• Request an industrial waste processor to process the empty ink bottles.
• Use all the ink from the bottle within three months of opening. Note that the print quality deteriorates if the
ink is used for too long after opening.
• Do not shake the ink bottle too vigorously. Vigorous shaking may cause the ink to leak from the bottle.
• Never refill an ink bottle. This may cause malfunction. Mimaki bears no responsibility for problems caused
by such refilling.
• Do not touch or stain the IC chip circuit contacts. This may cause malfunction of the circuit board.
• The ink bottle installed in the device may become dented as shown in the figure. This is normal, and does
not affect the use or operation of this machine.
