Taking a Test Print

Print the test pattern to make sure that there are no ink discharge problems such as clogged nozzle (blurred
print or missing nozzles).
The test pattern alignment direction can be selected for each test printing from the following two types.
Select the direction suitable for your printing job.
Before running the test print, confirm that:
• The media is set up
"Setting up the Media" (P. 2-5)
• The point of origin is set up
"Changing the Point of Origin" (P. 3-2)
• The head gap is adjusted
"HEAD GAP Value" (P. 3-6)

Print the pattern upon performing nozzle recovery of the missing nozzles that have been
registered in [NOZZLE RECOVERY] under MAINTENANCE function with the good nozzles
• OFF:
Print the pattern without NOZZLE RECOVERY even if there are problems such as missing nozzles
• If the MAINTENANCE function [NOZZLE RECOVERY] is not registered or if the [NOZZLE
RECOVERY] [CONFIRM MENU] is turned "OFF", the operations in this step cannot be set.
