Chapter 2 Basic Usage
Move the illumination position of
the UV lamp
For printing by using this machine, the position of the LED UV needs to be changed in accordance with the
ink being used (color ink or special color ink).
This machine gives you an option to select one of the following five types of printing methods:
• "Single layer printing" in which a color ink layer is printed on the media
• "2-layer printing" in which a special color ink layer is printed on top of a color ink layer
• "2-layer printing" in which a color ink layer is printed on top of a special color layer
• "2-layer printing" in which a special color layer is printed on top of a special color layer
• "3-layer printing" in which a color ink layer is sandwiched between two special color ink layers

The best position of the UV lamp for printing

There are four types of UV lamps installed around the head unit, as shown in the following figure.
Change the position of the UV lamp according to the printing method to be used. For details, see "Printing
conditions and UV lamp positions" below. The "lamp positions" are denoted with "*1" indicate that the lamp
needs to be moved.
