1.10 Scope of delivery, accessories, requirements
Requirements for the configuration PC
● Web browser
To configure the RTU you require access to the integrated Web pages (WBM) of the
RTU. For this you require a configuration PC with one of the following Web browsers, at
least in the specified version:
– Apple Safari Version 9
– Google Chrome Version 72.0
– Microsoft Edge Version 41.17763.1.0
– Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 11.0
– Firefox Quantum Version 65.0
Note
Number of connections with HTTPS
Even when using HTTPS, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari establish only one connection
to the partner.
● OpenVPN server for access to the WBM of the RTU via the mobile wireless network
You will find the requirements and a description of the procedure in the section
Establishing a connection to the WBM of the RTU (Page 101).
Optional accessories
Apart from the RTU the following accessories may be necessary and do not ship with the
RTU:
● Battery module
If no power supply is available locally in the area of the station (RTU), you require one or
two battery modules with suitable batteries.
In pure battery operation the use of two battery modules is strongly recommended since
only then is interrupt-free operation and full use of the battery capacity possible.
The battery modules are available as accessories, refer to the appendix Battery module
(Page 351).
● Battery expansion modules
To increase the capacity of the battery modules, you can add one or two battery
expansion modules to the standard battery module. The battery expansion modules are
available as accessories, see appendix Battery module and battery expansion module
(Page 351).
● Extension board
To connect up to 8 additional devices (slaves) via Modbus RTU or HART, you can add an
expansion card to the station (RTU). The extension board is available as accessory, see
appendix EXTENSION BOARD HART / RS485 (Page 358).
