Transmission mode
● TeleControl Basic, ST7, IEC
The parameter serves to specify whether the values of a data point that is configured as
an event are buffered until the next transfer or sent spontaneously (immediately) to the
partner.
The following options are available:
– Spontaneous
– Buffered / conditional spontaneous
If the communication of the RTU on the page "Operating mode > Operating modes" is
configured with "Always" the values are buffered and transferred in the next
communication cycle.
With data points with the Type of transmission "Transfer after call" (TeleControl Basic /
ST7) or "Static" (IEC) the boxes are grayed out because these values must not be sent
spontaneously.
● DNP3
With the DNP3 protocol a spontaneous transfer is configured by entering 0 (zero) on the
"DNP3" page for the parameter "Send buffer", see section DNP3 (Page 220).
Values of data points of class 0 are never sent spontaneously.
