Update cycle
● Reduction factor for basic cycle
The reduction factor lowers the frequency of the update cycle for this input. The interval
between the update cycles is therefore increased.
Example: With a basic cycle of 10 seconds and a reduction factor of 2, the frequency of
the update cycle for this input is halved, the input is read only every 20 seconds.
You configure the basic cycle in "Operating mode".
Note the comments made about the parameters "Settling time" and "Integration time".
● Update on value change in sleep mode
Only with analog input AI0.
– Deactivated
– Activated
The difference of the value change as of which an additional update cycle is run through
is configured following this.
● Value change(%)
Amount of the change (2.5.. 50%) of the currently red value compared with the process
value range (100% of the process value). If this amount is exceeded, and additional
update cycle is run through.
Downsizing of the reduction factor
With these options, you can reduce or increase the duration of the update cycle by a factor in
certain situations. The following factor applies only in the following situations.
The factor is configured independently of the reduction factor for the usual operation
("Reduction factor for basic cycle", see above). As soon as the value of the analog input no
longer meets the following conditions, there is a changeover to the standard reduction factor
again.
The change of the reduction factor is made possible in the following situations;
● Process value lower than low limit value
● Process value higher than high limit value
● Change of the process value higher than "Threshold"
The Threshold is the configurable change as a percentage compared with the last value
read.

The input is read only in the configured update cycle.
The input is also read during the sleep mode if the value at the input changes (see
"Value change"). If AI0 is read, the analog inputs configured as counters will be read
at the same time. With every cycle, the inputs mentioned earlier are read, the program
is executed and the outputs are set.
After reading the outputs of these tags are written, the program is run through and the
outputs updated. Note that with this setting, frequently changing signals increase
power consumption.
