Adjusting Pedestal/Steering
Console
Do not attempt to adjust the pedestal/
steering console while the motor grader is
moving.
To adjust the pedestal/steering console position:
1.
Grasp the steering wheel and push down on the
pedal located at the bottom of the pedestal/steering
console (Figure 4-1).
2. Move pedestal/steering console forward or
backward into comfortable position.
3. Release pedal to lock pedestal/steering console
into new position.

Adjusting Operator's Seat
Always use the seat belt during motor
grader operation. The seat belt is designed to
provide safe operator retention if the grader is
involved in an accident or rollover incident.
Do not attempt to adjust the seat while
the motor grader is moving.
The seat can be adjusted for individual comfort. The
seat position lever (Figure 4-2) allows the operator to
move the seat forward and back for easy access to the
steering wheel and hydraulic controls.
The comfort control knob (Figure 4-2) can be adjusted
from soft ride to firm ride as needed for varying
operational situations. The seat suspension provides
operator comfort by absorbing some of the grader
movements during operation.
The seat belt (Figure 4-2) provides safe operator
retention if motor grader is involved in an accident or
rollover incident. Adjust seat belt for comfortable grader
operation.
