Checking the Drive Belt
NOTE: Belt drive systems equipped with automatic
(spring) belt tensioners cannot be adjusted
or repaired. The automatic belt tensioner
is designed to maintain proper belt tension
over the life of the belt. If tensioner spring
tension does not meet specifications,
replace tensioner assembly.
NOTE: Refer to the engine manufacturer's
operation and maintenance manual for
information on checking tensioner spring
and for additional information on checking
and adjusting drive belts.
1.
Refer to Preparing Grader for Maintenance on
page 5-6 and park grader.
2. Inspect the belt for cracks, fraying, punctures, or
other damage. Damaged belts must be replaced.
