Depressing the service brake pedal causes the hydrostatic drive pump to
"declutch." This pedal is an "all or nothing" brake and should only be used in
an emergency. Activation of the brake will bring the grader to a sudden and
complete stop.
Use foot pedal operated service brakes only for
emergency stops or if there is insufficient dynamic breaking
power from the hydrostatic drive.
Use to alter engine speed (RPM). Engine RPM (revolutions per minute) are
shown on the tachometer. Press throttle control pedal forward to increase
engine RPM. When released, the pedal returns to the position determined by
the throttle control lever setting.
