4. Turn on air supply.
Stand to one side of tire during
inflation.
5. After proper inflation to 30-35 PSI, release air hose
chuck.
Inflate tire to proper pressure level.
DO NOT over inflate.
6. Inspect tire for bulges, bubbles, cracks, and other
damage. If damaged, deflate tire immediately.
A tire with bulges, bubbles, cracks,
or other damage must be replaced
immediately. Running a grader on damaged
tires can lead to grader damage, severe
injury, or even death.
Changing Tires
Explosive separation of a tire and rim
parts can cause serious injury or death.
NEVER cut or weld on an inflated tire/
rim assembly. Heat from welding can cause
an increase in pressure and may result in
tire explosion.
1.
Refer to Preparing Grader for Maintenance on
page 5-6 and park grader.
2. Block grader wheels.

7.
Tighten lug nuts (Figure 5-9) alternately in a star
pattern 360 ft lbs. (488 N•m).
8. Lower grader.
9. Check tire pressure. Tires should be filled to a
pressure of 30-35 PSI following the steps in the
section Filling A Tire With Air (page 5-16).
