15. The 695 has a vented hydraulic oil reservoir
filler cap. Check to ensure free air flow. Replace as
necessary.
NOTE: Clogged vents on the hydraullic filler cap
can lead to system damage.
16. Refasten hydraulic oil reservoir filler cap (Figure
5-29,1) by turning clockwise.

Thoroughly clean the grader before
replacing or refilling any hydraulic
components. Always keep in mind the need
for cleanliness when working on hydraulic
equipment.
2. Close the hydraulic tank supply line gate valves
by turning valve handles (Figure 5-30,1)
counterclockwise.
3. Disconnect the suction line hose at the tee fitting.
4. Cap the tee fitting to prevent contamination (Figure
5-31).

5. Place a suitable 35 gallon (132 L) container beneath
the open end of the suction hose.
6. Turn the suction line cut-off valves to the OPEN
position (handle vertical) and drain oil into container.

8. Clean suction strainer and inspect for serviceability.
9. Install suction hose, cut-off valve, and suction

11. Connect the suction line hose to the tee fitting.
12. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with 5W20 AWAT OIL.
13. Hydraullic oil capacity is 21 gal (79.49 L).

14. Reinstall hydraullic reservoir fill cap.

15. Start the engine when safe to do so.
16. Operate hydraulic cylinders through their stroke

17. Shut down the engine.
18. Top off with fresh oil if required.
19. Check for leaks and fix any leaks found.
20. Dispose of oil properly.
21. Start engine and operate hydraulic control levers
