8. Screw the hydraulic oil filler cap back on the
hydraulic tank.
9. Remove any spilled oil with a clean cloth.

Changing Hydraulic Oil Filter

Burn Injury Hazard! Hot hydraulic
oil can burn upon contact with the skin.
Change hydraulic charge filters while
system is warm, not hot. Avoid contact
with hot hydraulic oil. Failure to obey this
warning could result in serious injury.
1.
Refer to Preparing Grader for Maintenance on
page 5-26 and park grader.
2. Allow the engine to cool completely.
3. Open the engine access panel (right and left) and
locate the supply lines /supply line gate valves
(Figure 5-28).

Thoroughly clean grader before
replacing or refilling any hydraulic
components. Always keep in mind the need
for cleanliness when working on hydraulic
equipment.
4. Close the hydraulic oil reservoir supply line gate
valve by turning valve handles (Figure 5-29)
counterclockwise.

front-side of the Rear Axle.
