Spoked wheel, single wheel

Clean and lubricate the wheel bolt threads with
oil only.

Clean the contact surface of the wheel and
spoked hub

Lift the wheel onto the hub. Make sure the valve
and both stops on the wheel rim are positioned
between two spokes

Fit two clamp shoes and nuts opposite each other
5
Gently tighten the nuts so that the wheel is
centred
6
Fit the remaining clamp shoes and nuts
7
Torque-tighten the nuts in steps to tightening
torque 330 ±30 Nm. Tightening sequence as
illustrated
8
Retighten the nuts to 330 Nm after driving the
vehicle a short distance (approx. 200 km)
Every 6 months: Check and re-tighten all wheel nuts
irrespective of whether the wheel has been removed or
not.
