Step 6.
Make sure the relevant cables pass through the cable clips.
Step 7.
Align the ServeRAID SAS/SATA controller so that the keys align correctly with the connector on
the PCI riser-card assembly.
Step 8.
Insert the ServeRAID SAS/SATA controller into the connector on the PCI riser-card assembly
until it is firmly seated.
Attention: Incomplete insertion might cause damage to the server or the ServeRAID SAS/SATA
controller.
Step 9.
Install the PCI riser-card assembly (see "Replacing the PCI riser-card assembly" on page 78).
If you have other devices to install, do so now. Otherwise, go to "Completing the installation" on page 78.
Note: When you restart the server, you are prompted to import the existing RAID configuration to the
new ServeRAID SAS/SATA controller.
