If the server starts, proceed to the next step. If the server does not start, disconnect the ac power
cord and call for service.
Step 7.
Turn off the server and disconnect the ac power cord.
Step 8.
Connect the cables from the power supply to the internal devices. Make sure the relevant cables
pass through the cable clips.
Step 9.
Reinstall the cover (see "Replacing the cover" on page 158).
Step 10. Slide and install the server into the rack.
Step 11. Reconnect the ac power cord into the connector on the back of the power supply.
Step 12. Connect all external cables that you disconnected in "Removing the fixed power supply" on
page 216.
Step 13. Connect the other end of the ac power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
Step 14. Press the power-control button.
Step 15. Make sure that the power-on LED on the front of the server is lit.
Removing a hot-swap power supply
Use this information to remove a hot-swap power supply.
When you remove or install a hot-swap power supply, observe the following precautions.
Statement 5
CAUTION:
The power control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off
the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power
cord. To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected
from the power source.

CAUTION:
Never remove the cover on a power supply or any part that has the following label attached.
