Step 5. Insert the new battery:
a. Tilt the battery so that you can insert it into the socket on the side opposite the battery clip.

b. Press the battery down into the socket until it clicks into place. Make sure that the battery clip
holds the battery securely.
c. If you removed a rubber cover from the battery holder, use your fingers to install the battery
cover on top of the battery connector.
Step 6. Reinstall the air baffle if removed (see "Replacing the air baffle" on page 160).
Step 7. Reinstall the cover (see "Replacing the cover" on page 158).
Step 8. Slide the server into the rack.
Step 9. Reconnect the external cables and power cords; then, turn on the attached devices and turn on
the server.
Step 10. Start the Setup utility and reset the configuration:
a. Set the system date and time.
b. Set the power-on password.
c. Reconfigure the server.
