To remove the PCI riser-card bracket from the PCI riser-card assembly, complete the following steps.
Step 1. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 157).
Step 2. Remove the PCI riser-card assembly (see "Removing the PCI riser-card assembly" on page 163).
Step 3. Remove the screws that attach the PCI riser card to the riser-card bracket.

If you are instructed to return the server component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions,
and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Replacing the PCI riser-card bracket to the PCI riser-card assembly
Use this information to replace the PCI riser-card bracket to the PCI riser-card assembly.

If you are replacing a server component in the server, you need to slide the server out from the rack
enclosure, turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.
To replace the PCI riser-card bracket to the PCI riser-card assembly, complete the following steps.
Step 1. Align the holes on the PCI riser card and the riser-card bracket and install the screws that attach
the PCI riser card to the riser-card bracket.
