Code #2A: 4th/5th Mirror Home Position Not On
Definition:

2) The 4th/5th mirror drive pulley rotates counterclockwise so that the
notch is under the home sensor, and the pulley does not move when
the main switch is turned on.
Points to Check:
Check if the 4th/5th mirror assembly is moving properly.
If it is moving properly, check CN305-12 on the optics board. Otherwise,

motor.
Check if the H.P. sensor is shorted.
Code #2B: 4th/5th Mirror Sensor Not Off
Definition:
Lights when the 4th/5th mirror home position sensor remains actuated for
1.83 seconds after the mirror motor turns on.
Observations:
1) At power-up, the 4th/5th mirror drive rotates counterclockwise past
the home position sensor.

position.
2) Reduction or enlargement can be selected. However, when full size
is selected, the drive pulley overshoots the home sensor or does not
turn counterclockwise at all.
Points to Check:
Confirm that the second scanner moves properly.
If it moves correctly, check CN305-12 on the optics board. Otherwise,
check the 4th/5th mirror section, optics board, and mirror drive motor.
Check if the H.P. sensor circuit is open.
