( 9 ) Correcting the amount of exposure for AE (auto exposure)

Procedure
Check that exposure is correctly set
in ( 8 ) Setting exposure amount.
Enter simulation mode.
Enter 22 with the numeric keys.
Press the print key.
Select mode 1 with the exposure
adjustment keys.
Place 5 white original of A3/11" ×
17" paper on the contact glass.
Press the interrupt key. The pre-
scanning operation repeats. When
the voltage is near the reference,
the prescanning stops automati-

cally. *
*1: When the AE sensor or the halogen lamp is broken, the prescanning repeats till the
stop/clear key is pressed.

Factory default settings are shown below.
* Setting ranges
Prescan exposure: 102-242
NTC/NPTC: 0-5.00 (0-255)

Start
Select mode 2 with the exposure
adjustment keys.
Place the NTC on the contact
glass.
Press the interrupt key. (The pre-
scanning operation repeats.)
Select mode 3 with the exposure
adjustment keys.
Place the NPTC on the contact
glass.
Press the interrupt key. (The pre-
scanning operation repeats.)
Press the stop/clear key.
Exit simulation mode.
End
